Nepotism from the postings so far is a BIG issue at this point. Ive seen and heard all of the wordages used- what is so sad is that we the taxpayer pay for this.

The recent posts about Schrader are remarkable and if true, Elected officials currently in office need to at least make those issues right without a lawsuit. This is what I really dont understand is why doesnt Terry and John ever tell you about this in our local newsprint?? Is it because they are lazy? or is it because they cant or dont want to?

Terry would rather accuse the knox football team and coach instead. Trying to make a name for himself so he can win the school board job.
This comment from starkecountyindiana is not about the football team or coach but about the local newspapers telling us the truth about people running for political office. Sometimes if not most the time, out newspapers only print what they appear to be the truth or what they see to be the truth. We don't have investigative reporters. We have people that just report what they see and hear. If they really looked into things, they would have a bigger staff and a better paper.
As to the "football team", they did it. It was not a one time mistake but a series of crimes that took place over months. Come on, face the truth. What about Nancy's grandson? Seems he was questions. Bet granny got him off.

You want to know why they won't talk about schrader in the paper. schrader told me he had called the papers and asked for a interview about property issues. Turner told him he was a loser and no one on the board wants to talk about the property problems. So this is the opinion I have, unless you are with the in crowd, you go no where, and I believe in some of these articles I have read from a few of the reporters here, that if it doesn't have real hate or borderline slander involved its not worth publishing or if its a grant we will publish that because here is how we can get money for nothing. People today seem to thrive on the negative. The talk I had with schrader was positive on fixing things, he had thoughts on how to fix problems, not on how to skirt the situation. The feeling I got from him was not revengeful, it was just plain he didn't care about the loss of the primary, the fact is the property issues here in starke county still need to be fixed, and before some real hot shot lawyer firm comes in and starts finding all these mistakes and making a federal issue out of them and then start screwing people out of their land because the county can't support what they have done through the years with the documentation they have to match. Once again with what I was shown, there is a major problem here. If schraders property gets moved, so does everyone else s to allow for the change, or someone get put in the trick bag, and we all know who that is, the elderly, less than fortunate income, or plain just can't afford to fight the system. The problem he points out is ok fine, move properties the way you are now, but look at all the new problems you have made. Now people don't even have their house on their own property anymore and this is where he made the statement. We need to live in a civil manor - not a civil court. I checked my own survey and guess what, it has so many questions of discrepancies, I now wonder what I own. This is so bad it even states the east line of my property is plus or minus 37 feet and my south line is plus or minus 25 feet from a row of trees on my property. But one thing for sure is I know what this county has me assessed at. schrader was right, if we don't know what we own, how can we be taxed on it.
In response to knox indiana's "football team" comment. I want to point out that the "football team" DID NOT COMMIT CRIMES. Three of the five arrested are former members of the football team. They were suspended immediately following their arrest and are not part of the football team. For you to state it as you have, you are including more than fifty other boys who had nothing to do with any of the break-ins and that is unfair. The football team has is a group of nice and polite young men and you should be ashamed for making a statement in generalities as you did.
The football team has suffered more than the boys charged with the crime ever will because of the affiliation you and those like you have put on this team.
I am a Knox Football fan and this team has handled all of this like champions. When everyone was beating them up with the stigma that "the team did this", these boys stood tall, stayed focused and pulled off one hell of a good season. I couldn't be more proud of them and their coach. They displayed a lot of courage and class. We should all take lessons from these boys!
Sorry, me bad, I meant "football players" not "football team". The team did nothing wrong, neither did the coach. It was the individual players from the football team and tennis team. My typo mistake.
