This blog was started for several reasons. The main reason is to get people involved and see what is really going on in the County. Another reason is to slap our local media to do their job with the neutral bias as they should. I understand the news is how they make their living. It seems that only the negative stories get the most attention. Like $867,000.00 being missing. Everyone can chime in, accuse, embellish, pretty much anything to make the story sound better the next time it is repeated. An even better example is the economy. The sky is falling, as chicken little would say. People who have no savings and live paycheck to paycheck, follow that like the rats did in the story of the pied piper.
Some people think it is rather amusing that all relatives are getting elected. If you do find this amusing, I feel very sorry for you. At some point, the blame game and excuses will not work. Checks and balances always succeed but, not as timely as we want them to be.
Other people want to throw money to change this, for whatever reason. Probably out of frustration or want to make good. Could also be out for some entertainment. There are some who really want to make a difference and there are some that do not care to do so.
For our elected officials that read this, you are entrusted with the responsibility of doing what is best for this County and you should be "self-less" in your job. I posted several weeks ago about the Highway workers. Not one official agrees that they should give up their pay or insurance coverage. Not one comment and steer clear! But we can talk about the 2007 Knox mayoral race. I added the survey about the Mayor's race and I will add one about the pay of elected officials.

Let's take this one step further to Prez. Elect Obama. The Obama media came out and questioned his cabinet post wondering if he is really making change. Sounds like "Nepotism" is you ask me. He's bring in all the Clinton people back to Washington and the "White" House. He's even bringing back Mama Clinton. I guess I'm not sure what change really is. This I know, whenever you change leadership, there's going to be change. Duh. But doing favors for people in the federal leadership, that's just not right.
Seems like Starke Co. is no different.

No that was the start of it! Thats where you had Clinton make the banking industry give home loans to people who could not afford a home. Unemployment was at its highest too. Lets not mention NAFTA. Where now you have it easier for foreign countries skip their stuff through Mexico and not pay full tarrifs. As well as that.. you also have MORE stuff made in Mexico. Look at the manufacturers content in a new Chevy Dodge or Ford. You will find that more of their parts are made overseas and not here. We can go even further as to where our food is being produced too.
People are losing their jobs now because people are NOT buying like they were a year ago. supply=demand=production= jobs!
Get rid of that nasty Houston and all of her family now in the annex and other offices in the county
