Since all of the Elections are over and swearing in ceremonies are too... What will some of the changes we were promised be? What conflicts of interest are still going to continue? Which ones can or will develop? We checked aisle 3 today, and we hope the personalities are on a new years sale.

I quit going to Pizza King when new owners took over. They dont cook the chicken enough and it is nasty.
I stopped going to Pizza King, when those new owners took over too.. after sitting for 20 mins at the Drive Thru, when I had placed my order 30 mins previous to that. Then to be "greeted" by a 15 yr old boy, who I had to greet and state my name because he only opened the window and stared at me. Then to turn around, come home and find the pizza burnt to the point of throwing it away and ordering chinese. They would have to do A LOT to get me to go back there... well and I think it's ridiculous to use your business as shady marketing as well for campaign. I don't support scum like that.

Let's see what happens with the school board and who gets promoted: Gappa got super, Barnes is Welter's son-in-law--hmm, a promotion will soon be announced? I would really like to know why Nathan left town--I'm sure Daddy could of gotten him a teaching position, just like his daughter?? But no, they hide their dirty laundry and put the spin on other people!
Nathan left town because of a "supposed incident" that happened between him and a former girls basketball player. He was at one point banned from the school grounds from my understanding. But yet again, let's brush that under the rug because he gradually started making his way back into sidekick announcing with his dad for games. Didn't any of you guys notice he was only announcing away games at one point. To me, something with that nature... shouldn't be brushed under the rug. The spin is always against the innocent victim, the girl.

I thought the purpose of this blog was to share information and interesting, even provocative insights, into Starke county matters. Instead, it is nothing but sensational and personally hurtful gossip. This is a total waste of time. I hope this New Year brings a good start on Sysco for crying out loud. This project, I'm sick and tired of hearing about it and nothing being done on it. The welfare office has flourished due to lay offs, less hours, and lower wages...It's time we turn this county around..find people some jobs!

I'm not sure if she is gay though. Tom had that earlier... he's a pretty good guy. You can catch him sportin some nice hot black leather pants from time to time if you're lucky. Or Michael Matsey, I think he's Nathan's age. Michael is more rustic and burly.. Nathan is more sports jock wannabe. Smaller build. I'm not sure their relationship status... everyone says nathan has a son.. I'm not sure though on that one.

If you don't, than either leave, shut up or hey, here's an idea, DO SOMETHING POSITIVE ABOUT IT. Run for office or join a non-profit community group. Someone can always use a positive,outgoing person to help with something. But if you don't like it here, then shut up and leave!
The new pizza king is better? I may have to try it. The last time I was there was about 10 or so years ago and they had them cockaroches running around the floor. Suprised the health department didnt do any thing about it.

this site is pathetic. no one even answers the posts they put one. for all that is going on in starke county there is hardly anyone here. no one really cares.
If John Norris is suspended without pay (still innocent until proven guilty), then what about Mark Milo? Seems he is like water on a ducks back. Were charges dropped or was the trial date postponed? Let's sweep it all under the rug.
what is the procedure for impeaching a county commissioner? Milo should do the honorable thing and step down! No suspension of time from work, no nothing. You got that right, water of a duck's back!
there is no recall system in the state of indiana. he can only be gotten rid of when he is convicted and found quilty. the other commissioners have no control over an elected official. Milo knows this and is laughin his ass off. He has seen the procedure work before and knows how to get away with it. Kid you not Kroft and Danford both need to be arrested to. and Kroft works with our children in the school system. what a joke.

Nathan isn't local anymore. He has family here in town still, and no kids, but he's relocated. Reading this kind of stuff, can you blame the kid? One thing I have learned in my years on this planet is that those who are quick to judge others, are usually trying to avoid having people look at themselves. Believe me, I've checked. There's nothing that can be done about an official stepping down due to filed charges against him. Is that wrong? Hell yes. Is it right to allow someone to sit in the position even though all the charges filed against him reflect the position he holds and are tied right to it? Hell no. Mark Milo digusts me. You see the Market too.. his lovely ad, "Mark Milo Enterprises".. it's almost like he deliberatly is wanting to put flyers out about his company. I'm not sure why he would bother, all the people that read that paper are brainwashed by him anyway and somehow manage to fill his pockets with money.
As far as the new Pizza King is concerned, is it even finished?? I drove by there the other night and I swear I was seeing unfinished drywall and ladders in there... with people just hanging out on top of the counter. Pretty classy place. I just, after the customer service I received last time by the kid who apparently couldn't speak English, or forgot to have his Food Service Customer Service Skills Training class, and waiting and waiting... I just can't bring myself to go back there. I've fallen in love with Gina Marie's pizza. For all of you who haven't tuned in there, here is my plug for them. They are awesome there!! Take your money there.
I'll put this under "what will the new year bring" since it is a new year item. Seems that Richie Newberg couldn't make it for his 4 year term. Personally, I didn't think he would make it this long. Everyone that voted in the city election should have voted for the other guy, I would have lasted longer.
People who write into blogs and say "Get off your lazy boy and run for office" or something like that, really need to pay a bit more attention when people do run. Look and see who really does do something for the community. Richie, though a nice guy, didn't do anything before he was elected and didn't do anything after he was elected.
Yep, I lost. But it didn't keep me down. Look and see who lost and who is doing nothing. I worked hard on the park board and I work hard with the Friends of the Park. So next time you go to vote, see what they those running did.

Tony, clearly you are still very upset over this loss. You have had interest with the park, and really that's only about how people have heard of you. YOu need to get yourself involved in other aspects of the community. Not everyone gets excited over a skateboard park... infact some people tend to be completely against that. Skate parks tend to carry a bad reputation.. not saying they all do, but most do.
