I have not started a new post because I wanted to wait and see how things transpire and come about. One thought that I heard while I was out and about was that someone suggested that the elected officials-(school boards included) get a report card for their performance, or lack thereof. So, please rate your favorite, or not so favorite, elected official by posting them here in the blog.
We ask a few things of those that post.
1. You can remain anonymous, there is no way that anyone can slip in here to see who you are, or, your IP address. It is your right to freedom of speech.

Yes, you are correct,he did have his day in court and fraud was proven didn't here much about it in the leader, since Marlene and Cheryl Patrick are good friends, so the coverage wasn't very good also you did not here about the two forgery that were proved in court.If you want the real facts that are in black and white,call Dennis at 772-3006 he would be more then happy to show you.
Or you could look at the facts of the case and see there was no fraud...didn't Estok's own "witnesses" prove there was no fraud? They sure did! In fact, the only fraud that was done by a few of the witnesses was by themselves, without any outside influences. I am curious about the witness intimidation by the "detective" that was hired by Chucky "Cheese is as gay as myself" Estok...
The leader reported very well on the case, unlike other news stories, and it should behoove the Estok's to shut up about it. Has anyone heard anything about the local USDA Farm Service Agency office closing? The portion of the office said to be closing (or "presence being removed from the County") handles the farm loans of local farmers. I am told that after the office closing local farmers will have to travel to Rensselaer (50+ miles) for their loans. I am uncertain how many local farmers the office closing will affect but believe - if the closing is imminent - that they should be informed.

What about the individuals living in this county that are forced to drive at least 35 miles one way EVERY work day just to make a living because they don't own hundreds of acres of farmland and make $$ off of it? The majority of the land in Starke County is farm land, therefore the majority of residents travel distances, sometimes further than that one way might I add, daily. The business is probably closing up due to the economic recession. It's not feasible to keep an operating business up with minimal clientel, when you can have a central office to report to.

Anyone hear Dave Singleton was hired back? This county just keeps getting crazier. No wonder all the kids are f'd up. Take a walk dowtown in the middle of a nice day and see the way the kids act. This crap with singleton has been going on for yrs. the truth will come out. Hes taken alot under the table and abused a lot of people with his hillbilly power. even carried on an affair at work and dumped his wife and the , well , you know what she always was.
