I heard it was to get back at Judy Benninghoff for getting him in trouble about the backhoe and stone.
Interesting that she now has 2 County jobs and that she and her sister need more help to run the Treasurer's office. Ran fine for 8 years with just 2.

Judy is not a scammer,liar, and cheat like Milo is. With Judy, what you see is what you get: she doesn't sugar-coat anything. Peoople don't like to hear the truth and but a spin on everything. How someone like Milo can remain in office with charges filed is beyond me. And we never heard anything from the out-of-county charges, have we?
Well anonymous, Milo is only be accused of being a scammer, liar, and cheat. Accused dont mean you are guilty. He will have his day in court. Milo should step down until his case is resolved.
He's accused, yes, but the evidence is pretty criminating. People are scared of others that are straight forward like Judy is. Milo is just a jealous prick pulling at every last straw he can. I hope he does see his day in court and I hope its really soon too.

How F'd up is our County? How many people are these people going to fire then ordered to hire them back? I am shocked no one checked with an attorney before their decision...I wouldn't be surprised if they are all in it together so each has a turn to sue for even more money? Williams may come across as a hard ass but he treats everyone equal and doesnt bend the rules. Unlike a lot of others working for the county. If you check ,there is usually a reason someone slams another, such as going on the radio and making a statement w/o all the correct facts. mmmmm perhaps that person may have been required to follow the rules and was rebelling... :)
As far as privatising, has anyone looked at the cost.... other counties using that option are averaging more per inspection than Starke County.

I would like to ask Chuck Estok how old his youngest daughter is? It is just funny I have seen her 2 times out at places getting drunk with adults? The funny thing is both times Oscar Cowen was there! I don't expect him to know everyone's age but he shouldn't look over something like this because I guarantee if it was a local "trouble maker" he'd have 5 cops show up to arrest him, then he'd sit around with everyone talking about what scumbags they were!

I did not write that comment but I believe it was Bruce....or a family member! Sure he doesn't find them worth responding to because he knows that it would save money to hire an outside company! It would be very easy to figure: Cost of operating office - amount permits bring in. I have no idea of the real cost but lets say there are 200 permits issued with an average of 2 inspections each @ $75 ea. That is $30,000 per year. How much does it cost to run that office?

How about something of importance. Why are gas prices going up again? Just because it's summer, someone thinks we can pay more for gas? That's one of the reason's we got into this financial mess. Gas got to high, we were told not to drive gas guzzlers, so we stopped driving RV's. Chuck can't fix that can he?

Does anyone know what has happened to the court appearance on Milo? It seems to have 'disappeared'. Milo should have been forced to step down the day he was arrested, he is facing Federal charges. When Blago from Illinois was arrested our Governor was very proud to say there was no corruption in our state. Obviously he has overlooked Starke County. It seems we are a little scared of him, since we (including me) are 'anonymous'. Ridiculous.
What about the other commissioners and auditor? They allowed Milo to do what he did. Not one of them spoke up. If they knew it was wrong? why didnt they step up and stop it from happening? None of them said ANYTHING! No one objected in the minutes, nor did they verbally object. What would the difference be? In this case and compare it with being someone while they committed a crime, and you do not do anything to stop the crime. They all were wrong and one person is taking the full blame. They all should be standing in front of Judge.

The only way you can be in legal issues regarding people, is if youre voicing your opinion and slandering someone. So long as you have your facts, then there's nothing someone can do. Its factual. Is it just me or are the two guys on the radio in the morning gay? I could care less, just curious. I find myself more interested in just reading the news on the net than listening to them talk about lawn mowing, and could someone there let the one guy know it's pronounced Em-in-em. Even at my age, I know that. This whole blog is interesting though. There's a whole lot of people who live in a county that they hate. Is it the economy? Because it's bad everywhere. When it gets better, and it will, it sounds like a lot of you should move on to some place that doesn't make you so infuriated all the time. Is that anyway to live? Isn't there anything good about this county to talk about?

This is for Chuck Estok unfortunately you are gonna be a topic and your family because you picked a job that involves voters so it comes with the territory just like every politician you are gonna be scrutinized for it. I personally voted for you and would appreciate it if you seriously open your eyes to whats going on in our community and our fellow officers arent doing a very good job lately and Mrs. Havens hires a man from another county Mr. Duerring that is by the way doing a horrible job I see more of our tax dollars being wasted and I am not liking it at all very confused. Is it true that man was fired Mr. Duerring from another county? Just something I think you should bring up at your next board meeting it would be greatly appreciated as for your personal life that is your family and your business not my concern. My concern is getting this county back together cause it is a mess and I really appreciate you taking your time to read this. Please get back to me concerned taxpayer..
