Very Good Point!

Anonymous said...
What about the other commissioners and auditor? They allowed Milo to do what he did. Not one of them spoke up. If they knew it was wrong? why didnt they step up and stop it from happening? None of them said ANYTHING! No one objected in the minutes, nor did they verbally object. What would the difference be? In this case and compare it with being someone while they committed a crime, and you do not do anything to stop the crime. They all were wrong and one person is taking the full blame. They all should be standing in front of the Judge.

I guess I see your point. They should go after the others. Sounds like if they let it happen they are just as Milo and should be co-defendants

This is a very good point! We will add to this. Are they responsible elected officials? The Auditor should have been the one who should have stopped it before it even happened. The County Attorney should have also stopped it. The other two Commissioner's voted in favor of it. Of course, all of the "Chuck's of the world" will grandstand and say- come to a meeting. Elected officials are all entrusted to do the right thing regardless of who shows up. Folks, let's not make the posts about underage drinking.

The Auditor and Treasurer are both responsible. They did not have to sign the check.

Chuck is a leach, trying to live off the county as his whole worthless family has always done. He is no benefit whatsoever to this county or to life itself

Anonymous said...

Whoever you are,you are so jealous of the Estoks you are absolutely pitiful. Please tell us how his whole family has lived off the county. You probably don't even know the whole family.I thought this was about the commisioners and the auditor?

Anonymous said...

they are like little rats scurring through the steets of dung infested starke county.

Worried about Milo and the Estok’s, evidently you have a bad life and no intuition to get off your rear and do something about it or better yet get a job, welfare sponge.
O’ cry me a river they won’t listen if I say anything or I might get put in jail by Oscar if I say anything, for real get a life.

Then, on March 12, police raid his home, handcuff his girlfriend, who was the only one home at the time, and confiscate his computers and hard drives. They even break into a safe and take his back up hard drive. The warrant for the search and seizure cited “computer tampering with the intent to harass"

Anonymous said...

cry babies need to not worry about milo, maybe you look in the mirror.

Anonymous said...

its not about just Milo. The others should have their pictures plastered and labeled as theives.

Anonymous said...

Hmm...
I would have to say that all of the commisioners and the auditor should be held accountable for this. But let's face it, this is politics, and in politics there will always be a fall guy to take the rap.
I have to say that the commisioners stick there nose in places that they should just stay out of, for example Starke Memorial Hospital. They have allowed Life Point run our closest means of medical care into the ground, and then expect someone else to jump in and fix the problems Life Point created, but heaven forbid it be someone who had the people of our county in proper perspective.
Shame on them all for being weasles.

Anonymous said...

You explained it very well. They didn't allow Doctor's Hospital to lease the hospital because of a pending investigation but allow Milo to stay on after charges were filed? Why would he even want to stay on? Because people think he would be admitting his guilt if he quit? I for one do not want a felon being paid with my tax dollars....not much is left after all of the thieves get their cut.

cross bar hotel for milo and norris

If they knew it was his backhoe then they should be in trouble, if they didn't how would they know there was any wrong doing in the first place? The only thing they would be guilty of would be stupidity because all they would have to do is search google and in 2 seconds could have found exact same backhoe for a lot less money.

well the scratch my back.. I'll scratch yours is what happened..

it's your own fault said...

maybe you buttheads should attend a meeting and speak your mind there. then again, maybe you don't have a mind. we the people elected them. they work for us. but if you don't talk to them in person or write them a letter, (like the kind on paper that you would address and mail to them through the post office service), then it's your own damn fault.

Anonymous said...

Buttheads? That's funny! I will tell you why YOU are the idiot for saying that. I think other voters would agree...I'm sure you are one of the elected yourself. With that being said....enjoy your time in office because you will never serve the people again. So you think these elected adults need someone attending a meeting, or writing a letter, telling them not to vote for some illegal transaction to take place? You are the "butthead"...lol. How stupid are you to even think it is the people's fault? I know in your crooked mind this kind of transaction is morally ok, but I think you have been corrupt for so long that this was just one of your "perks", kind of like free gas and county vehicles for family road trips. So please keep us informed when something illegal is being voted on, that way I can go "speak my mind" since people like you have such perverted morals and ethics. God knows the police or the prosecutor won't do anything.

Anonymous said...

The prosecutor and police are so removed from starke county... The only one who does care is when the state police come in here

Anonymous said...

Have you forgotten you are afraid to show your presence, so us politions can keep on and we do not have to worry about you being around because we know you will not be there. HA HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

Anonymous said...

Dear Chuck,
Thanks for the last 2 posts. I do know how you get mad after you have one two many cosmos. I am sorry you need the people there with you to tell you guys not to do something illegal. I should have known from your guys' past that you need to be told not to break the law. Sorry I do not want to sit in your boring meeting about what color carpet you are going to put in the annex building. Let us all know when it is something major like purchasing a $15,000 piece of equipment for $35,000 and I will be there! Wait...all your important stuff is either a closed meeting or when working people are at work....you would know anything about that though would you?

I got a good question, I read this blog early on. Someone said that elected officials should give up their pay when the county highway guys were cut back. We dont have a health inspecter cause their aint no money to pay her. Maybe Mark Smith and Chuck can give up their pay? (they have businesses) Seeing they cant justify getting pay for the job they do, let alone the rest of the county council. How many were missing at the last meeting? I mean if you buy something at walmart and it breaks or doesnt work, you take it back for a refund. Sounds like the a few on the county council.

Anonymous said...

The only bad thing about them giving up their pay is they will just find twice as many ways to rip off the county.

Anonymous said...

They not only get paid, but they get health benefits. I would like to see them give up their pay or take a pay cut. I don't think they will. What about this? get paid for the meetings you show up for? It would save the county money or make the county council show up for meetings.

Anonymous said...

can they be fired or replaced now

Anonymous said...

QUESTION: Did you vote for them when they last ran and now you want them out? OR . . do you even exercise your right to VOTE???

Anonymous said...

For the person or persons who wrote the last posts. Why don't you sign your name and run for office because you seem to have all the answers. You sound like a real winner.Come on sign your name and see if you get any votes.

Anonymous said...

Last post sounds like one of the elected bums we have in office! Take a pay cut and lets see how dedicated you really are?

Anonymous said...

I want to know more about that article John Reed wrote about the open door law. Seems kinda strange that there is hardly ever a discussion unless its Mr. Bridegroom trying to buy new carpeting for the recorders office? What about all of these people getting fired and rehired? Seems like there is a lot going on behind the scenes.

Anonymous said...

NO,I'am not an elected official. I don't have all the answers like you do. Come on sign your name and run for an office. You have all the answers.

Anonymous said...

c'mon let's get real! it's ok to get new carpet and maintain county buildings. Don't worry about the restaurants getting inspected cause the public safety isnt important.

Anonymous said...

somebody struck a nerve! Chuck? where are U?

Anonymous said...

Chuck is going above and beyond his job description if you ask me. I think he is doing some undercover work at Sporty'z. I think he tests every mixed drink out there to make sure nothing is wrong with it. That is a true public servant!

Anonymous said...

We may not have all of the answers! But this is just like armchair football. We can sit here and criticize all we want.

On here, There is... No fear of getting a bag of pot tossed in your car or DUI.

At least do this,
1.knock off the illegal meetings
2.do what you're elected to do
3.do it honestly- (we know thats hard for some)
4.if you dont know how to do your job, at least ask someone. (doesn't work when you fake it and get caught-the blame game gets old)
5. think of this community rather than yourselves. (this means no scamming the county with an overpriced back hoe, hiring all of your friends and family
6. if you cannot afford to provide services(like a health inspector), cut the luxuries, like health insurance and take pay cuts as elected officials. Not one of you has responded with why you deserve these benefits, some hardly show up for meetings!
7. it is ok if chuck is a taste tester at sportyz. (or for any other elected official) what they decide to do during their personal time, is their business.

Happy Independence Day. The day we got our freedom from corrupt governments. Now we are forced to wear our seat belts and buckle up our kids or the "government" will tax us. Thanks for the freedom to choose.

Anonymous said...

HA HA Suckers

Anonymous said...

Wow, child endangerment issues? What tremendous parenting skills you have. It's a "bad law" to do your best to protect your children by utilizing safety belts? If you want to complain about things, do yourself a favor and complain about other issues than the safety of children. There are so many parents that practice neglegance, and I think the state is tired of paying funeral costs for those underprivileged children whose parents could care less if their child is safe or not while traveling in a vehicle. Such a shame that some parents want to complain about taking 30 seconds to buckle up a child, when that 30 seconds can sometimes determine if that kid is around the next day. I mean why not just let the kid ride on top of the roof? I mean hey, save the trouble of taking the time to open the back door to let the kid into the car? How stupid can you be.

Anonymous said...

It seems you missed the point stupid!! If you want to wear a seatbelt, you have the freedom to do so. If you don't, you have the freedom to do so. It's not just about the kids, but also about adults? Do you know, (of course you don't) that the booster seat law was passed because Graco Child Products LOBBIED to have it passed because it is "good for the children". Yep, their $$$children.$$$ I bet their stock went up. It's not just about the children as you say, but about our personal freedom of choice. Talking on the phone while driving. In some places and times, not a good idea. Sometimes, not a big deal. What about the county environmental tax? It's for the good of the "planet". Good for future children. Sure, it's not a bad idea but some people don't even know what it is. Yet, we have to pay it.$$$ Same difference. Loosing our freedom. Being told by the government what is good or not good for us. Maybe it's time some adults grow up and take responsibility for ourselves. Or maybe you prefer the government to take care of you.

Did any one read the July 2 Leader? The article on dogs insurance, the Mayor states We've updated a lot of ordinances in the past year and a half. I don't like rules anymore then the next guy, but it is something that needs to be done" said Chambers. " as long as I am Mayor, out dated ordinances will continue to be done. After the May 07 election we knew the Chambers did not like rules,an actually they believe they are above the Law because they commited Election Fraud. Don't you think it is ironic that now he is making the rules that he said he doesn't like following.

don't we love them ?

Anonymous said...

How crazy is Dog insurance? Im sure Alvin Morris and Jim Collins will get right on that. A dog is a reflection of its owner. Just like guns dont kill people, but rather people kill with a gun.

Anonymous said...

So what is dog insurance for? Vandalism of property when a dog gets out of it's yard? No, I say hold the owner accountable for that. Dumb ppl that take on pets that can't take care of them. That's half the people in this county. I can't tell you how many dogs I see abused or "wandering" with collars on. I dont think they should be pushing insurance, but be pushing tickets for neglegance.

Anonymous said...

Will anyone attend the next council meeting and say NO to dog insurance??

Greg Matt! I thought he was gone. That the voters threw him out. But thanks to Jeff Houston and Jeff Berg he is back. Goofy as ever. I am sure he has a lot more goofy ideas coming. One reason the voters got rid of him before. Maybe next time we need to think about that when all three are up for re-election. If we vote them ALL out maybe he will be gone for good.

Anonymous said...

We all agree with you Abigail. Punish the ones who violate the ordinance.

Anonymous said...

this site is f---ing pathetic.

Anonymous said...

I agree too. You know, we all know the economy is rough right now. If you can't take care of your pet, or fix your fence- then you need to take your dog to a shelter or find it a more suitable home. Pure laziness plays an even bigger key to that. If you know there's a hole in your fence and you can't afford to fix it, then you need to put your dog on a leash and take it outside in your backyard until it gets fixed. Simple as that. Relatives of mine have had someone's dog come to their house twice now and the owner keeps blaming the fence issue. Keep in mind, they live about a mile apart through town. So not only was this dog out wandering, but wandering around a large traffic flow that could've killed the dog or caused an accident and injured someone else because of the negligence of that owner.

Anonymous said...

shoot the damn dog and have it over with.

Anonymous said...

No, not the dog.

Anonymous said...

Yea for ricky he supports all these ordinaces, see how much he has done already

Anonymous said...

You have to kidding, what has Ricky done for Knox? He should not even be in office! He is never in it any how,he doesn't have a clue on city goverment all he knows is what David Matesy tells him.

Abigail said...

Do these people know that there are ways to avoid the overpopulation of unwanted pets? Programs and waivers can reduce spaying & neutering costs to where almost anyone can afford them. It don't take much to care for a pet and if you can't do it or simply don't want to, DON'T TAKE THE PET ON. It's as bad to take a wild animal and try to make it domestic as it is to turn a family pet into a wild animal left to fend for itself. I've spent countless hours taking care of kittens.... tossed out, sick, starved, parasite infested kittens who would have surely died, then I found them new homes. Everyone needs to do their part in this and if the officials won't then we need to. Nothing burns my ass more than strays when it's the EASIEST problem to freaking solve. Be responsible, don't let your kids bring in every stray unless they plan on CARING for it, if you can't afford it don't be afraid to say that. There's no shame in admitting you can't afford something and it beats the hell out of neglecting it and causing it to suffer or die needlessly and in pain. Animals aren't worthless, they give us love and never turn away from us like some people we may know, they are loyal, devoted creatures who are capable of love like all of us are, why treat them badly and let them run wild? Not only are people at risk, so are the animals.

The Estokistas are at it again. Why do they always have to turn every thread into their own boring and utterly tired personal attack on their usual suspects. The commercial says "get a room". Maybe they just ought to get their own blog and let the rest of us try to enjoy this thing. But where is the blogmaster? He (or she) always let these threads degenerate so much and never adds anything new. Maybe it doesn't matter because nobody really pays any attention to this thing.
